The second day is always the hardest

Yesterday, I bustled about fairly full of bobbins & bounce, and even managed to get to the Gaiman & Friends Stories panel at CU -  cheering on first-time author (and recent Clarion grad) Kat Howard (w/a very nice early dinner beforehand at Thai Market - my cure for jetlag:  Keep Eating!!) - and even managed the small reception afterwards (which made me feel like, if not a rock star, at least someone with a backstage pass - also should wear a sign around my neck: "Will Socialize for Smoked Salmon" . . . .)

Today, however, it is cloudy & I can barely see straight.  I hereby declare a general amnesty:  Nothing Useful need be done before tomorrow!  (Nothing, that is, beyond troubleshooting weird B'town copyedits & putting away smuggled Cornish Yarg & various articles of clothing on bed.)  Friends in town - what can you do about that?  A quick dinner with Pat before he hits Bloomsday at nearby Symphony Space (which will also be streamed, and includes Stephen Colbert this year!) . . . maybe breakfast tom'w w/my dear radio engineer friends Miles & Jane from WGBH (who met while engineering Bloomsday here some 20 yrs ago) . . .  But that's it.  That's it!  No more!!!

And I love you all.
