Return to Bordertown (via Random House)

An absolutely wonderful meeting today with Welcome Back To Bordertown (or whatever we end of calling it) editor Mallory Loehr at Random House (and coeditor [livejournal.com profile] blackholly & agent [livejournal.com profile] bgliterary)! More like a reunion of longlost B'towners than a business meeting . . . . We decided that yes, 2011 is too long to wait for the new book - and are scheming to start getting some kind of advance B'town material up online somehow before then.... So Watch This Space for news of leaks from the Border!

Meanwhile, I'm glad to see that our new friends over at Hard Luck Cafe are already planning their outfits for the Midnight Release Party!

Awesome, and gosh, how serendipitous considering the fact I'd just ordered The Essential Bordertown from amazon today ;)

I'm more a swooner than a squee-er, but if I were... :)

Hi, Ellen! Sorry that this is off-topic, but I'm about to move to the Land of Intermittently Blocked Websites (i.e. China), and couldn't wait to ask. I was just wondering if the black and white edition of Swordspoint (with the house on the cover) from your website is a real edition, and if so, where can I buy it? (I want one!!!!!) Also, I accidentally started rereading Swordspoint again yesterday (as one does), and was just wondering exactly how old Richard and Alec are supposed to be in it? The denizens of Riverside are always marvelling at how young St Vier is compared to how they imagined him...

China? Wow! The B&W image is the frontispiece to the Bantam U.S. paperback edition, which also contains 3 short stories. I confess I like it better than the actual cover, which is why I put it up on the website, even though it does confuse people. Glad you like it, too!

R&A are roughly 18 & 22 in Swordspoint.

Thanks for such a quick reply! :D Too bad the B&W one isn't a real edition...maybe I should start a petition, heh.

Oh, and that's interesting, 'cause I always imagined that R was slightly older than A -- probably because R is more responsible ;)

Oops - bad me - late, tired: R is ca. 22, A is ca. 18.

Oh, just get the paperback, copy the Frontispiece, and glue it on the cover. Et voila!
