Spanish Trad Music in NYC tonight
Oct. 24th, 2007 11:18 amJust got this note from Eve Sicular (of fabulous band Metropolitan Klezmer - turns out they'll be playing with me at my gig in Larchmont on Nov. 15 yay!):
hi all, just doing a little volunteer help for Rosalia Roio from Madrid... she's a great guitarist/singer/percussionist, who plays music from some of the folk cultures in Spain which even she didn't know about growing up.
just met her by chance at the Mo Pitkin's closing (she was supposed to play there this week!) she's got one more NYC show before going home, tonight at 6pm - Bowery Poets Club.
heard her last night & really she's an amazing talent. so there ya go ~Eve
ps this is not even a full representation but

(Mo Pitkins closed?! Oh, crap. That sucks. What's this city coming to?)
