Thanks, all, for the German Autographing reality check. Glad to know I'm not the only one. All hail the healing (and communicating) power of LJ! Even 10 years ago, I couldn't have said, "Hey, this happen to anyone else?" and gotten instant answers across the board.

The internet is a great place to hang out. :)

Since writing is such a solitary occupation, I'm glad to have found a writers' site with tips, discussions and crit circles, and the blogs of several writers. I've a much better grip on the whole writing and editing thing as well as the business side - in case I'll manage to get published one day - than when I started out in 2002.

And I love to share my photos, travel diaries and essays about history, so I got me a blog, too. :)
