They are handing out Your Pirate Name over here, but despite the utter charm of the quiz questions, no one I know has gotten a name she really likes, so if you, too, are disappointed, be sure and visit the Ergonomic Keyboard for Pirates, instead.

Oooh, but I like mine:

My pirate name is:

Captain Jenny Flint

Even though there's no legal rank on a pirate ship, everyone recognizes you're the one in charge. Like the rock flint, you're hard and sharp. But, also like flint, you're easily chipped, and sparky. Arr!

Get your own pirate name from fidius.org.

My name is "Mad Charity Kidd", reminds me about what was said about Lord Byron "Mad, bad and dangerous to know." I love it, but they need to work on their formatting. I even like the definition...
"Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. Even though you're not always the traditional swaggering gallant, your steadiness and planning make you a fine, reliable pirate. Arr!"

OK, OK, I give up . . . everyone else's Pirate Name is cooler than mine - I guess I just wasn't cut out for the High Seas!

No, 'cause I tried it twice, and each one was dorkier than the last.

French piracy

I got a cool name, too (Red Jack Rackham), though I'm a bit perplexed by the twists and turns that changed a Patrick into a Jack. I suppose there's a perfectly reasonable and logical explanation, but sometimes, I do wonder about these tests.

Sorry I can't suggest any answer about the mysterious early buding tree: living in Bordeaux as I do, we have trees starting to bloom from the end of February on (the smell of mimosa floats in the air at night, around that time), and I failed miserably my biology studies because of my sad level in botany, anyway.

Budding, not buding. I hate it when you can't go back and correct typos... >:-((
