I am just over the moon about how well the KGB raffle has done, announced today! As People's Glorious Organizers [livejournal.com profile] mattkressel & [livejournal.com profile] ellen_datlow have announced, "the raffle has been an enormous success, bringing in enough money to fund the Fantastic Fiction Readings at KGB for two years, including a small stipend for each reader"!! In the past, readers could only hope for a free drink, and their share of the Chinese food afterwards being picked up by someone else . . . . Beer, Glory and Szechuan Dumplings are beautiful things, but it's always nice to get an honorarium. Bless you all for buying tickets. The list of winners for all 69 prizes is online; I was moved to see how many of them don't even live in NYC, but still chose to support the raffle. I hope you all get the chance to attend KGB sometime.

And now . . . drum roll . . . : Fortune has favored Katheleen Howard of Minneapolis, who somehow managed to win not only a personally inscribed copy of the hardcover Swordspoint, but also the Terri Windling drawing. Which is pretty amazing. Obviously, Kathleen lives right. Congratulations to her.

[ADDED:] The glorious [livejournal.com profile] mattkressel here reveals the Arcane Secrets of the Online Raffle . . . . 'Cause didn't you always wonder how these things were done?
