We all had a great time at Elizabeth Bear's reading at KGB in the East Village on Weds. night - as you can see from Ellen Datlow's photos. Ellen faithfully documents all these events - I like this set particularly because you can really tell what it was like to be there: the room is too hot, and everyone is glad to see each other . . . I like this one of Delia & me - she looks a bit maniacal, but so would you if you were there! EBear read a terrific story, and read it very well. (Delia & I will be reading there on Sept. 20, and Delia will be back with the Salon Fantastique gang on Oct. 18 with her long-awaited story about the absinthe-drinking French whores.)
