Photos & Livers & Desktops (o my)
Dec. 15th, 2010 02:12 pmDelia & I had such a great time at the NYRSF reading last night! The new material went over so much better than either of us had even expected - very thrilling & encouraging. Thanks to all the friends who turned out on such a chilly night! Series producer Jim Freund has posted more photos here.
My dear sweet friend Terri Windling has gone and posted both of the photos I sent her of my working desktop for her "On Your Desk" series (which also has Delia's current one, Charles Vess's studio, and a host of others): not only the glorious bulletin board where I stuck all the inspirational pictures (lefthand side) as I was working on The Privilege of the Sword, but also the rather, ah, messy context for it all. From my beloved Boston house, in 2006. My current desk, believe me, you don't want to see. Even I don't - thank god for laptops, so we can move on when the ashtrays are full....
Deb Mensinger's Liver transplant has been scheduled! Our warmest good wishes to her and her wife, beloved friend & fantasy author Laurie J. Marks, for the healthiest and happiest of new year's ever.
