ETA:  Well, clearly we'll have to work out of few bugs on that app (or my understanding of it); meanwhile, the Hidden Message simply read:  

At my parents' in Sarasota. Delia, still nursing miserable cold, is lying down reading a book, occasionally chuckling & reading me the Good Bits. She likes to do that. This time, however, it is a book I wrote!!!! I cannot tell you how cool that is.

It was The Privilege of the Sword.  I had quite forgotten about Gobber Slighcarp!  She finished it on the plane coming home today.
