ellenkushner: (Bessie McNicol)
I am very happy that Terri has left to return to her home, her husband and her beloved Tilly - but I'm allowed to cry just a little because she's gone, right? The place seems empty without her.  And wait - we never hung any pictures!  We never talked about - well, actually we did talk about pretty much everything, over the course of the time she was here.  Life and love and art and music and cute shoes and . . . well, everything. Having her back as my roomie again was sweet as sugar.

And justabout every day, she told me how very, very much the [livejournal.com profile] magick4terri auction meant to her and her family. On her behalf, I thank you all again. The Donate Here button is still up on that page just a little while longer - and every dollar being put to good use - but it will be coming down soon in what we hope will be the start of a Happily Ever After for everyone.

It's a good thing I am easily distracted, or I would be like a puppy, myself, wandering anxiously around the place, plaintively wondering Where is she?  But instead, I'm off this weekend to NoHo for a meeting of the Mass All-Stars to workshop [livejournal.com profile] blackholly's new manuscript . . . and then to Cleveland for Passover at my mom's . . . and in between I will be working on a cool new contest for the Welcome to Bordertown paperback launch, and finalizing actors for the Privilege of the Sword audiobook, and seeing my friend Michael Schumacher from Amsterdam's new dance at the Joyce Theater, and, oh, all sorts of things.  Soon, I won't even notice.

Where's Terri?

I have to show her something.
