Lowell

 My, but we had a fine time at Lowell Folk Festival yesterday! I tweeted a lot of it (@EllenKushner), but it all boils down to:  Great roots music acts on many stages, and amazing international food cooked by local community folks, in charming old NE mill town with canals.  And FREE! Come next year.  It's even better than I can make it sound. Then we went to the Staff & Musicians AfterParty, where Delia Sherman & Davell Crawford ("the Piano Prince of New Orleans") bonded over Louisiana!! talking about THE FREEDOM MAZE, and then Davell jammed with a bunch of the other musicians - Navajo drummers, Brazilian forro fiddler (who I now have a gigantic crush on) . . . and I Got the Spirit and rocked out!
