No, really:  2 podcasts have just popped up for your weekend driving/listening/housepainting/room-cleaning/carrot-chopping pleasure:

PodCastle:  32 minutes, includes Holly Black, Amal El-Mohtar, Tim Pratt, and the most spectacular cackle of mirth from Anna at the end (with Dave being the Perfect Gentleman)

&

SFSignal (long & fun - for me, anyway!) conversation with Patrick Hester.

I never have the nerve to listen to these things right off - so please let me know how they went?

PS  I really do need a radio icon, don't I?

What's funny about this post is that, when my commute changed, I basically stopped listening to all my podcasts. A few days ago I didn't feel like listening to music, so I switched over to PodCastle and started working my way through the backlog (since I'd stopped listening it hadn't updated so they're all from 2010), and YESTERDAY, I realized that I had gotten to an ELLEN story! "Honored Guest" came on and I was all "YAY! and then realized it was a Swordspoint-world story and said "DOUBLE YAY!" and THEN I heard that it had a fiber art connection in the story and MY GLEE KNEW NO BOUNDS. Finished it on the way to work this morning and wow, that was good.

I think your radio icon should be a teapot ;-P

Also I listened to the PodCastle Bordertown spotlight on my way home tonight. Here: http://emilytheslayer.livejournal.com/357423.html

I almost can't tell you how it actually went because what matters is what's in the entry I linked, but I *think* it went very well. You all sound smart and cool and fun and I liked it all. :)

So, I've made a neat stack of all of the Bordertown books on my desk, and realized I never actually read The Essential Bordertown.

Now that I've sent in my Hugo votes, my question is: Do I read the new book (and listen to all the podcasts) first, or do I reread the old ones (and read the one I managed to miss reading) first?
