DS:  I believe you.  Absolutely and implicitly and without irony.

DS:  Because I know your little ways.

DS:  I'm just digging myself in deeper, aren't I?

Thank you so much for sending my Clarion postcard, and the other cards *flaily hands* There was a hyperventilating fannish meltdown in our house! My kids were hugely entertained!

I spread my holiday cards over the coffee table and sent them off, many with Save the Date notices for my wedding. (OMG, it's in May. I'm a textbook editor; I'm used to planning and coordination, but still its such a lot of bother.)

Pop in a favorite movie. One of you handles envelopes, the other handles card signings. Stamps and return address labels go on last.

I hope so as well, especially after my mother's two divorces. But my grandfather remarried a few years after we lost my grandma, and that was very nice.

I actually did 2 different Sound & Spirit shows - one on Weddings and one on Marriage (inspired by a listener who wrote in, after the first, to say Did I understand how different they were?). The Weddings one has probably dated a little - but the Marriage one drew on the wisdom of many folks, and I think is worth hearing:
