No time to be stylish, but here's what we did that was terrific in NYC this week, and you should definitely go if you can:

Sarah Jones's Bridge & Tunnel - amazing and delightful and funny and moving and enlightening and powerful - closes August 6 - go now! Reduced tix at BroadwayBox.com

Cooper-Hewitt Museum: Forks! Knives! Spoons down the centuries!! + Frederick Church et al. Only til October - go! Museum garden/cafeteria - Eden on 5th Avenue!

Schiller's Mary Stuart played all over Battery Park, beginning in Castle Clinton! Must see! It's free! You'll sit on the ground and then get up and run after the actors to the next scene as the tragedy unfolds...dress accordingly.

. . . all that, and V&T's pizza (and Grand Sichuan) . . . ! (Things like hanging out on the roof of our building - or my cousin's building for fireworks - or playing guitars together, or hauling boxes of my books around - you can only do if you're my nephew, I'm afraid. But go find someone else who's hardly ever been here! Show them your favorite New York - and let me know what you did!)
