Sorry not to post more - still not done with my Wiscon post, which is to laugh because it is very short. Day after we got back I presented my forthcoming kids' "chapter book," The Golden Dreydl, at the Jewish Book Network's meeting in NYC, which I hope will lead to many fine appearances at Jewish Book Fairs near you in November & December, and maybe even some gigs with the band! I'll keep you posted. This morning I went downtown to the offices of Fair Game to borrow their sound booth to record some :30 promos for WLRH in Alabama, who are picking up Sound & Spirit on July 1 (yaay!). The on to Book Expo America at the Javits Center. Never go to the Javits Center if you don't have to. I had to: every publisher in America is there, showing off their books. Not only are there many fine books, but the whole thing feels like a gigantic non-slumber party for people who like books a whole, whole lot. Tomorrow I do "Children's Author Speed Dating" and an interview, and then I'll be at the Charlesbridge table in the afternoon with The Golden Dreydl book.
But so I'm really posting this just to make sure that no one misses the Face Morphing of Painted Ladies, which is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Online, anyway.
Must go fuss over what I am going to wear tomorrow to impress 50 booksellers as the world's hottest 3-minute date.

Date: 2007-06-03 05:10 pm (UTC)The Dean was extremely prompt and sent me a print copy of the lovely review, which I was able to hand personally to the Charlesbridge folks, who were delighted. (Dr. Martin also sent a CD of the actual broadcast, which I'm too shy to listen to yet....) It will be my very great pleasure to sign a book to Robin! He might enjoy the album even more, right now - did I give you guys a copy of that yet?
