I went to the podiatrist today and he cut a large chunk out of my toe. No, really. My toenail, anyway. He showed me when it was done: all gory and nicely red. Now I have a giant purple toe: he is an Excellent Doctor with fine taste in colorful gauze. I like it so much, I don't want to take it off. I feel it gives me distinction. The gauze, I mean. The ingrown toenail, of course, is already off, and good riddance to it, I say. The dr's office is in "Curry Hill," which is what they call the street in Manhattan's Murray Hill district with all the Indian shops. I comforted myself after by purchasing some foenugreek seed and a homemade mango cherry chutney - and an Indian sweet made from milk & cashews. Then I came home and we went to see the new Harry Potter film, which I liked exceedingly, as part of our Jetlag-Fighting Campaign of going to the movies to keep ourselves awake. And now the lagness has caught up with me, as you can see.
I will get to the Swordsman soon, I promise. Photos have arrived, and by tom'w night I should have figured out how to post them. It will be much better with the pictures, honest. You will have sweet dreams.
