ellenkushnerYes, it's been over a year since we moved, leaving our big old 4-square TV behind us in Boston 'cause we were going to get a nice new flatscreen to hang on the wall . . . but we're so intimidated by the technology & the choices! For a year we've been entertainig ourselves solely by means of DVD's on the laptop on the bed, propped up on an old legal folder box. Not a pretty sight.
We need a Shopping Buddy who Likes this Sort of Thing to go down to J&R (or somewhere) with us and help us pick one out. Or at least murmur words of encouragement & help us figure out where the hell we're going to put the VCR etc. in a pretty small space. Built-in speakers - Yes or No? The guy in the fancy TV store said they're crap, but the idea of kitting out a whole sound system to hang on the wall gives me the fantods. On the other hand (there always is one, isn't there?), this will be our only TV, and we're mostly going to use it to watch movies, so shouldn't we have decent sound? Or whaaaaat? I hate this. Thank you.
