Because I Know You Care
Nov. 26th, 2007 07:08 pmLast night I did not wake myself up coughing, and this morning I did not feel an atavistic need to drink hot Breathe Easy tea with honey.
I think I'm better.
Which is good, as we're going to Jamaica at the crack of dawn tomorrow, joining some friends who're going to a secluded beach there to write.
Delia gets to stay the entire week, but I'm coming back to do the 92nd St Y Family Hanukkah Festival on Sunday. (The event runs from 10:30-2:30. I'll be doing two 30-minute Golden Dreydl shows, at 12 and 12:45, selling my books in between.)
So if you don't hear from me for a few days, that's why. I think there will be internet access in Jamaica, but I also understand that most of our little band has taken a Pledge of Abstention for the duration - and there are some real hardcore cases coming . . . . Well, we'll see.

Date: 2007-11-27 02:37 pm (UTC)Hey! I believe I heard you reading on a Thanksgiving day program NPR aired. Kind'a startling in a cool way. The only thing that approaches was the time CBC's All Things Considered had a program on poetry and then asked for people to call in their favs. I did so, and read the ending of Brother On The Mount Of Olives by Paul Monette. It aired on my birthday.
