are up. There's a real nice one of me (taken by Datlow, art directed by Bear) here. The necklace, by the lovely [livejournal.com profile] elisem, is titled "Defense of the Realm." I borrowed it for the evening. I also doused myself beforehand with Blenheim Bouquet beforehand, so that after a fairly riotous dinner I could invite curious LJ readers to sniff my chest. Which they did. Tea smoked duck can make a woman do terrible things.

The necklace, the dress and the lady wearing them look gorgeous!
I'm sure you smelled pretty too.
I'll have to smell you at Mythcon this year. That just sounds so wrong, but that's fandom. :D

I was trying to insert a link to Elise's photo under her name, and screwed up. Fixed now, I hope!

You look very nice! Vaguely 16th-century, though I can't quite say why.

You have two "A HREF"s each with a < in that broken link, which seems to have confused the hell out of LJ. Just eliminate one and it should be OK, I think.

The necklace is beautiful, but I have *serious* dress envy.

It's a jacket, actually, not a dress. Nice & stretchy elastic waist. From Anthropologie. Cut a little likethis one (http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/productdetail.jsp;jsessionid=C3CB05AF5FEC6F575C8C374BEA004782.app23-node2?_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1&_dynSessConf=3696558034369677682&id=71719&parentid=APP_SALE_JACKETS&pushId=APP_SALE_JACKETS&popId=APP_SALE&sortProperties=%2BmarketingPriority%2C-saleDate&navCount=3&navAction=poppushpush&fromCategoryPage=true&selectedProductSize=&selectedProductSize1=&color=bla)

*gigglesnort!!!* Tea-smoked duck, eh? Sounds delicious. Sure seems like a classy get-together. (...How riotous? X3)

And who could resist such an offer, with you looking that lovely? *gestures at photos*

...What's KGB again...?

You look lovely, I am also coveting that jacket...

Being obsessed with Penhaligon's Artemisia, I had bought a scent library (http://www.penhaligons.co.uk/shop/fragrance/try-me/scent-library-496795.html) months ago but had never tried any of the others. Today I am wearing Blenheim Bouquet because of your wonderful description...it is really an interesting scent. Wish they lasted longer on me though, they seem to disappear really quickly.

Hi, Jen! I didn't realize you were on LJ. Nice page!

I don't think I've tried Artemisia - it's new. Hmm.... I've tried most of the others in the store, though, and the ones that work work brilliantly, but most of them don't (which is to say, I was tempted by the Scent LIbrary when I was in the store - but I already know what I like...). The trick is to shpritz a lot of it on, and then it tends to age into your skin and subtly stay there for awhile. It is, after all, a cologne, not a perfume, so you shouldn't be shy about putting a lot on.

Hope to smell you soon!

thank you!

A woman came into my booth wearing Artemisia, and I had to ask her what it was!
I couldn't stop thinking about it until it finally arrived in the mail.

You are right though, I probably need to get a spray mister and just douse myself with it :)

Thanks! I always have a good time, which is why I always drag myself out there, even when I'm not in the mood. Great art, great folks, great food . . . what's not to like? Hope you can join us sometime!
