"The Fall of the Kings" Prehistory
Mar. 6th, 2008 03:38 pmColleen Doran has posted 3 of the stunning images [just scroll down] she drew for "The Tragedy of King Alexander the Stag," a story
deliasherman wrote specifically for Colleen to publish in A Distant Soil #29. That issue is pretty much out of print, and no one has ever anthologized the story . . . hmmm, we'd better do something about that! Meanwhile, it is a real delight to see these images up online. If you've read TFOTK you will understand roughly what they all mean. Ysaud has surely painted her own version, and the Black Rose has probably starred in a trashy 3-act of the tale, as King Alexander's ill-starred lover (with most of her clothes on).
