A particularly rich catch today washed up in the AOL seine*:
• a warning from the United Bank for Africa in Nigeria of a Long overdue Payment, mitigated by "an email from one Mr.Morris Thompson who told us that he is
your next of kin and that you died in a car accident last four months back ."
• a threat to cancel my PayPal account - in French!
• a lovely offer of money from Mrs. Agnes Samuel of Malaysia beginning, "Dear One: Life itself is a misery and nobody can tell what can be of it. Those that can tell what can be of it are those who cannot tell us because they are far from us (dead)."

Some days, it's good to be alive!

*There's an image from a book or something, of some rough type who checks to see what treasures the river has left in their net from floods each morning. . . but I'm not awake enough to remember what it's from....
