Nestled in the Stanford Alumnae Bulletin's collection of First lines from the application essays of Stanford's freshman class, amongst descriptions of battling cancer, paralysis, 9/11 and Charlie Brown, we find:

My younger sister, Jessica, arrived home one day reeling about the shirt that her friend had worn to school. It had simply read, “Genocide, Homicide, Suicide, Riverside.”

It was [livejournal.com profile] minami_nekko who first pointed this out to me, and together we cooked up one that read Suicide, Homicide, Regicide, Riverside - and spawned a host of other designs of great splendor. Unfortunately, her original T-shirt collection seems to have been taken down - But, wait! The other version (by [livejournal.com profile] copinggoggles) is still up! I'm going to remember to order one this time - and you can, too!

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] rm for the heads-up on the Stanford article.

I'm sorry I had to take the store down... it was a paid store and I was losing money like mad keeping it up. I will put up a new store (a free-for-me one, with less options on my end for product choosing but there's ways to get around that) if there's interest in buying things again. However, I hadn't sold anything since May on the last one...

You were losing money?! That's awful!! I am so sorry. You had such super-cool stuff. If you find a new store, please let us know - there does seem to be a lot of interest, and I'll make sure people know about it.

Sigh, wherever I wear that shirt, the Great Unwashed (& Unread) think Riverside, CA. While apt, it's rather depressing.

A whole lotta Regicide in California. Yup.

But keep on doing - someday a Swordspoint fan will see it and immediately fall in love with you.

Stanford (the university in Palo Alto) not Stamford (the town in Connecticut), surely?

Oops. Crap. That'll teach me to check my sources. We drive past the CT exit pretty often, and I've only been to the CA one once . . . . Duly fixed. Thanks for keeping the egg off my face!

Eeeee! That's exciting! Do you know how long the ones that are up are going to be up? (Due to increasing poverty and a bare minimum of self-restriction, I can't buy one until I get a paycheck in two weeks, arg!)

They've been up for months, so I don't think they'll go down anytime soon.
