"The West Wing with ruffs"

rozk's journal alerted me to a new BBC TV production starring Helen Mirren as Elizabeth I, with Jeremy Irons as Leicester. Many pixels (this is what one says instead of "much ink," yes?) on this if you google their names - including an interview with MIrren filming in Vilnius (my Grandma Rose's hometown!), and another from the Times, both with a few photos. I thought Irons' Antonio in last year's film of Merchant of Venice was superb, and the online photo w/Mirren looks like he's got it down cold here. I've no idea when/if this will come to the States - will someone please tell me if it does??

In other news: Thanks to naamah_darling for asking for posters of the new Spanish Swordspoint (A Punta de Espada)! It evoked a response from an anonymous Spaniard (Luis?) telling us you can buy prints of the cover art on the artist, Alejandro Terán's, website.
