These pages are sorry to relate the sad news that Elizabeth Wein, noted author of cult classic The Winter Prince and related recent works, bowed under the combined strains of creating brilliant fiction, raising two clever and creative children with a fondness for Playmobil figures, and driving back and forth across Scottish highways (or possibly lowways), has finally lost her mind.

I should like to see a sequel featuring some of the more notorious and infamous Riverside characters. Although I suppose a prerequisite for these tableaux would be the children so that you have the Playmobil. Going out and buying the Playmobil for that specific purpose - now, that would be a cause for concern.

this is a great idea... haha... one day, kids would have to fight with us adults for Playmobil stuff.
