I love Switzerland. That photo makes me want to do more sightseeing there.

I can not tell you how much it pleases me that you enjoyed this. You and Delia have brought so much happiness and joy to me and my family through your writing, I am glad to return the favor in the least of ways. Please let Delia know that I bought a copy of Changeling for my son on his recent 17th birthday.

Of note, I found this while researching an article on the good professor for the Green Word newsletter. This is the annual newsletter I put out to support the Blessed Order of the Greenman (B.O.G) (http://www.bogbrothers.org/). Each issue is dedicated to any Brother who may have passed away in the previous year, or, if none have, (a fact I am most hopeful and grateful for...) then I dedicate it to a man who I feel exemplifies the spirit and ideals that BOG stands for. Last issue was for Dr. Campbell, this one is for Professor Tolkien.

We're honored in return.

Is it OK to put your actual full name in my post, up there?

How cool! Stephan is from Switzerland, so we've been there. Definitely like Rivendell! Now if only there were elves...

Ohh, those are gorgeous. As beautiful as that Rivendell is, I'm particularly in love with the trees. ♥

Oh! At first I thought you might be posting about these cherry trees! (http://community.livejournal.com/seattlephoto/219643.html#cutid1) But you mean the other Washington. (Hey, I grew up on the UW campus, and then became a student in 1986... and was most recently a student in 2007, so they've been part of my life for a long time.)

loved the extreme sheepherding!

Realize you can add "extrmeme" to anything to enhance and intensify (like adding "engineer" to a job to make it sound important + complicated). Extreme Cooking. Extreme Conversations. Extreme Handwashing. The possibilities intrigue...
