Home Theatre: "The Wicked Trick"

Just enjoyed delightful play put on by 8 1/2 yr old pseudo-niece in livingroom. Photos to come. Performances by many stuffed animals (including my Richard & Alec dressed teddy bears) and as much of my jewelry as I would lend her. Highlights:

Queen: My prime minister says I cannot remain queen unless I have a husband. Marie! Fetch me all the fairest men in the kingdom.

Suitor: I am extremely rich and wealthy.

Queen: I like your earrings.

Suitor: Here. You may have them.

Suitor #2: I am rich and very well-educated.

Queen: Hmm....

I'll see if they come out! Conditions not exactly, ah, ideal . . . but you'll be glad to know the "guy in the black jacket" (and the earrings) was selected as King. Despite the dastardly trick played by his brother on the wedding night, forcing him to switch clothes - thwarted when the Real King cried, "You're not me, I am!" and escaped with the Queen to Paris, which the evil brother mis-understood to be Peru, and is there to this very day.
