Guess which of my short stories got translated & illustrated?

From the newly-published ALIA - an Italian magazine/anthology of the kind of fantasy & SF that mostly doesn't get published over there, run by some visionaries who think the Italian reading public really needs to get more familiar with Michael Moorcock, Ted Chiang, Delia Sherman & me, among others.

Isn't she great? Here's the original image. And here's her illo for Delia's story. And this is one of my faves.

I'm especially pleased to see she can produce both men's and women's faces believably. That's where I feel so many of the fantasy illustrators fall down.

Though one publisher has asked, I feel I'm not quite ready for a collection. When I am, I'll be sure to shout about it!

Interesting picture. Recently I've seen several very similar pictures of bloodied women, using the same perspective (viewing from above, so the woman is foreshortened).

Oh, yes! I wonder if anyone would just do some fan art or something.... It's hard to imagine the Italians much wanting to translate a Cajun story.
