Oooh, brilliant! I have noted it in my planner and will definitely be there. :) Will you be staying in DC after or heading back to New York?

I've got the afternoon to play (after a lunch & LoC tour w/BU group, to which you are welcome); plan to take train home that night, unless there's some truly outrageous incentive not to ....

It will be lovely to see you again!

Now, what shall I read?

Well, there's the STC Henry V, although I haven't seen it yet so I can't speak for how good it is. STC tends to be good overall, and I very much enjoyed their Romeo and Juliet at Sidney Harman last year.

Aside from that, I do know a really good coffee shop about half a mile from the LoC. Not to mention the Folger is just across the street.

What should you read? ::ponders:: What sort of length are they looking for?

I've never actually been to the Folger! Can we go there?

Each author has about 12 minutes to read.

Oh, of course! They've got this exhibition (http://www.folger.edu/wosummary.cfm?woid=572) going on right now, and they have tours at 11AM and 3PM. I'll probably be working there in the morning before the LoC tour begins.

I must admit I find the opening of Swordspoint absolutely marvellous even after dozens of rereads and have the completely selfish desire to hear you read it aloud...

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

ahem

I might be able to come. Well as long as we don't have SNOWPOCALYPSE part 2.

Trust me; if there's Snowpocalypse, I won't be there, either! (I do have to Get There from Here...)

We are in fact going to Finland in July (for Finncon) - maybe we'll see the reindeer!

I was re-reading Meredith Ann Pierce's The Woman Who Loved Reindeer and so I had reindeer sleighs on my mind.

"From the author of the Darkangel Trilogy comes an epic romance, in the tradition of The Clan of the Cave Bear, about a young woman's love for a coldhearted shape-shifter."

... Who the heck wrote this description? This book isn't like clan of the cave bear at all. Eh, go figure.

Ah...ah...I wanna go! Curse my classes that demand attendance. i would absolutely be there if I could and I'm heartbroken I can't. I do hope you have a wonderful time visiting, though.

Hi Ellen!

I'm looking forward to meeting you on the 5th.

You've done such a great job advertising here, I think I'll steal your text verbatim for my own Web site! ;)

Kelly
