Right before we left Somerville, MA (across the street from Cambridge, MA, 10 minutes from Harvard Square) almost exactly 4 years ago today (!!), a wonderful wonderful indie bookstore opened up across the street from us in Porter Square, called Porter Square Books.

We've been back a few times to do readings & such, but haven't been lately.  But now the store's invaluable employee Matthew Timmins sent me some great interview questions, which I answered on their blog as best I could.

Because a few weeks ago, one of my minions ("My Spies are Everywhere" Division) told me that I was Featured SF/F Author of the Month there in May!  It's true - here's a picture:

Even if you can't get to Porter Square, you  can read the interview if you want.

I'm a bit more of a fan of Pandemonium Books in Central Square, but I also play D&D with the owner.

Also, I live in Arlington, and am amazed at all the awesome local people I had to go to Montreal to meet! :)

I love Porter Square Books! Great folks with great taste in books, if only because it seems to match my own.

That is all.

I still haven't gotten into Porter Square Books. When I was working Belmont, I tended to stop for new book needs at Willow Books in Acton. Now that I'm working in town (and on the Red Line, and going to Porter Square every day to catch the train), I'll have to stop in.

Oooh, that reminds me, need to stop at Tags. Good excuse!

It is, isn't it? Despite that little quote I posted May 21 by Joel Derfner, I still get a huge thrill out of seeing my books in a bookstore, where just *anyone* could happen by and see them.!
