[livejournal.com profile] deliasherman  & I will be in Boston (well, Cambridge/Harvard Square) tomorrow, signing books*:

12:00 - 12:45 Signing at Harvard Book Store, side-by-side with Brandon Sanderson.

Then we pop in to Vericon** (will somebody pack me a sandwich??) for:
1:00  Reading
2:30 - 4:00 pm  Panel on  Collaborations in Writing with Brandon Sanderson & Holly Black.

Other guests include Sarah Smith, Catherine Asaro, Holly Black & Austin Grossman.  Looking forward to seeing everyone!

* I don't know which books HBS will have on hand - but, no, not the new Welcome to Borderland, which won't be out 'til May.  i will, however, have attractive & colorful Welcome to Borderland postcards for all!  And of course feel free to bring your own well-worn copies of our older work for us to sign.  I don't think they'll mind, and we certainly won't.

**Vericon, a science-fiction, fantasy, gaming, and anime convention, has been held annually at Harvard University since 2001. The convention is sponsored by the Harvard-Radcliffe Science Fiction Association (HRSFA), an undergraduate student group.

For other upcoming appearances, click here; we try to keep it pretty well updated.

Wow, it's been a while since I last went to Vericon (I attended the inaugural 2001 con and then the 2002 con, and haven't been back). I hope you have fun! (I have a bundle of freelancing this weekend; I'm not sure I can get into town, alas.)

Worst case scenario: you may be able to deputize someone to run the two blocks from Harvard Bookstore to the new-ish Clover Food Lab (http://www.cloverfoodlab.com/?page_id=2248) and grab you one of their outstanding sandwiches, a cup of tea, and maybe some of their rosemary fries.

Ahh! That co-writing panel sounds so great. I wonder if they record and distribute panels later. Collaborative writing is such a fascinating topic. It seems like everyone has a different way of approaching it.

With advances in tools like Google Docs, it's so much easier to literally share a document and collaborate in real time, too. Augh. Tricksy Florida being far from all the cool things.

I *think* I'm going to be able to make it by for the signing. We're starting our move right about that time on Saturday, but I'm pretty sure I can load up the car, head over to chat and get books signed (do you for real want a sandwich? I can bring you a sandwich), and then begin the moving thing.

You are amazing! No way would I try to go to a signing in the midst of a move. It would be great to see you - but if you can't make it, we'll understand!

It's not the *real* move day, it's a prelim. :) That helps.

So close, yet so far -- I bet you will still be too busy on Sunday to pop into the Ragtime Tea Dance in Porter Square. :-(
