On the Endicott blog, Terri Windling tells a charming story about a surprise visit to a bookshop I took her to in France. I'd had a blast - found the books the previous afternoon (in a little shop dedicated to used children's books - where I also scored a bio of my beloved Comtesse de Segur [no relation]), and had the shopowner dig out and set aside all the Adrienne Segurs for Terri. The next day, I told T. I had a surprise for her, and dragged her off to the shop, where the owner proudly laid them out. It was good - and now, Terri being Terri, she is sharing her treasures with everyone on Endicott Studio's Adrienne Segur Tribute Page.

You are such an enabler ;-)

Beautiful illustrations, however; breathtaking.

Ooo, a bio of the comtesse? Which one?

Umm...it's in French. And I think it's still packed. It's kind of a bio/novel... I'll show you when it emerges!

I'll look forward to that! My French isn't awesome, but I might be able to trudge through and get some gist ... most of the material available on Segur in English is kind of, well, lacking.
