Having grown up in SoCal and attended Disney functions over the years, as well as having visited EuroDisney, my friends and I came up with a theory about a social/psychological disorder called Disney Syndrome.

Disney Syndrome happens when an employee's brain has been dissolved over years of the uber-control the park exerts on all aspects of their lives, and being around all things Disney for so long. It's marked by a permanent smile that looks more like a death rictus and a glazed look in the eye with nuances of crazed panic and psychosis behind the glaze. Their behavior is less lively and individualized than the automatons in Pirates of the Carribean and the Hall of Presidents. It's scary...

I've heard the parking lot attendents are immune to Disney Syndrome.

i jsut spent a freidy at Disneyland, and we went to California adventure first. that was SMART. it took us 10-3 to get everythign doen in California adventure, and then 4-9 to get everythign done in disneyland. other then space mountain (1hour15min wiat) we averaged a ride every 30 min, includingthe insane looking line for Pirates.

My rule: park opens, head straight for Peter Pan and get it over with 'fore the families with young children have a chance to get up, dressed, breakfasted and finally into the park an hour+ after it opens.

But then it's also my favourite ride in the park, so of course it has to come first even if the line is already half-way into Tomorrowland. :)

Cool. I've never actually been to either Disneyland - and with the number of panels they've got me on at L.A.Con, I'm not sure I'll make it this time, either! But maybe we can do it. Good to know there's a ride worth waiting for. I sure do love fireworks, too.

One of the best views of the fireworks I ever had was on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I am immensely fond of the memory - My best friend and I were 14, practicing our flirting skills with the boys who ran the ride. It was a lot of fun.

I loved the Jungle Cruise so much we went twice: once in the morning, and again at night when it's all nice & dark! Thank you.
