there will be TPOTS in LA and Seattle
Aug. 19th, 2006 09:56 pmMy spies tell me that people have had trouble getting The Privilege of the Sword, and are concerned about LAcon. Here's the update:
First printing sold out, so Bantam quickly went back to press. My editor, Anne Groell, says new books are now in the warehouse and will appear on the system computer by Monday, ready for ordering, so stores should have no trouble getting more in.
There will be books at LAcon! Both Borderlands Books and Larry Smith Bookseller, who have tables in the Dealer's Room, told me they ordered in time to bring plenty of TPOTS (and also Swordspoint and The Fall of the Kings) - and hopefully other dealers will, too. I'll be signing books at the Borderlands table on Friday at 11:30. We're also looking into getting order forms for the forthcoming Small Beer Press hardcover edition along with bookplates I can sign for you there. (In doubt? Bring one bookplate and I will sign it anyway, at my official LAcon program autographing on Saturday at 1 p.m.)
NB: Copies of Delia's CHANGELING will be hard to get at the con, since most booksellers weren't able to order it in time. If you want a signed copy, try your local bookshop (or 2-day delivery) before you come to LAcon.
What about Seattle? Duane "The Man" Wilkins will have over 50 copies for the signing at University Books on August 30th, plus lots of Changeling and our other titles, too. If you can't be there but you want a book personalized, Duane says: "Folks can go to our webpage , and send a note with how they'd like book(s) signed, and we can take care of it. "
