Delia's Puzzles
Sep. 27th, 2006 05:30 pmWe are unpacking the next truckload. Yep, for awhile we nearly had a complete home sweet home - but that was before the truck came with all the stuff from Delia's old house, including hordes of family memorabilia not to mention some truly impressive furniture. And now we're back in Greater Boxland - and its suburbs, Paperbagia and WhatthehelldidIpackthisforistan.
There is a great deal to give away, and even more to sell. The selection process is somewhat grueling. Every box contains many memories. Delia's just found the 3 boxes of jigsaw puzzles that she was aces at as a teenager, doing over and over again (no wonder she can now eyeball a room and know exactly what will fit in it!). She's willing to let them move on, and I'm wondering if they are of any value as collectibles? 2 round and 1 octagonal puzzles, all from England, just cardboard but with all pieces intact. Ca. 1965, Springbok editions. Sherlock Holmes Silver Blaze; Romeo & Juliet by Tanya Moiseiwitsch; English Legends. Bless her. Any thoughts? Any personal need to own them or pass them on to kids who love jigsaws?

. . . And then there's Awake, and Not Quite Awake - I just realized you're probably talking about a puzzle, not a picture at all! Urk. Anyhow, just to be clear to everyone: Delia hasn't done a jigsaw puzzle in about 20 years, and I never have. So keep it on the table, and get back to work, you!
