omg - and I can make my new iPod Classic 120GB be a radio, too!

Does anyone else have one of these gadgets? Are you happy with it? And will I be able to plug into my new little JBL On Stage Micro Portable Speaker Dock? Will we be able to listen to radio in the kitchen, which currently gets utterly crap reception due to location at bottom of courtyard in 1908 building with very thick walls, or is there only so much technology can do?

Aha! Yes, I've really been wanting one of those but feeling like a wimp because of course I could just bring my laptop into the kitchen, couldn't I? (But think how hard I'd cry if it got knocked off the counter by a soup tureen! It is a NY kitchen, after all...)

Any tips on which one to buy?

I have a Sangean and it has been relatively trouble-free over the past year and has a nice tone. I hate to say it, but the deciding factor was price. It was $100 on Amazon. It does not have unlimited connectivity to internet stations. If there are some you like and they are not there, you have to ask them to add them and then die from old age.

Hence, no more KGNU, radio 1190 and KRFC from Fort Collins and Boulder.

So in writing this, I realize I need to track down many of my favorite public radio shows so I can program them in. D'oh! Logical thought has escaped me lately. Gingko away.
