The Man with the Knives
Oct. 27th, 2009 10:07 amThe story is finished. It's told in alternating paragraphs from two points of view, Alec's & Sofia. I couldn't resist throwing them up on http://www.wordle.net to see how they'd come out:

I apologize for torturing you with unpublished work. I'll let you know as soon as it's sold. And I'm hoping to talk Delia into reading it with me in counterpoint when we do our NYRSF reading here on Dec. 8.)

Date: 2009-10-27 03:32 pm (UTC)That has to be the nicest apology I've seen in awhile.
It becomes more torturous if you give us part of the story and make us wait a few years for the ending. That happened once with an unpublished story I heard in a reading.

Date: 2009-10-29 01:13 am (UTC)I can't believe this hasn't been snapped up already though! If I were an editor, I'd have my nose to the wind for these kinds of stories all the time! Boo on magazines for slacking.
